George Trimmer Band

The George Trimmer Band has been playing around the Melbourne pub and club scene for 3 decades and has become a household name.

The band has grown in popularity over the past 10 years going from strength to strength with their massive fan base and their high energy shows with 4 amazing vocals and harmonies.

George Trimmer joined The Trimmers way back in 1985 and quickly become one of the biggest cover bands of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s when the band changed its name to The George Trimmer Band with a new line up.

The band has recruited Shane McKay on Guitar who is a well-established guitar player having played in many bands over the years and recording many songs with numerous recording bands and we are extremely lucky to have him in this great and talented line up.

With the inclusion of Anthony (PUNCH) Pungitore on the Drums who has also played with such bands as Play Doh, Yesterdays Heros and many more, Punch is the driving force behind the drums.

Steve Terry was in original bands in the 1980’s and played gigs all over Australia and decided to start a cover band which quickly become a phenomenon in Melbourne being The Trimmers which was managed by Red Symons from Skyhooks and the band was doing 7 nights a week. After a spell from the band, He joined The George Trimmer Band and is the consummate front man and leads the band with his great vocals and his ability to read the crowd.

George Trimmer was a founding member of The Trimmers and also played in many great cover bands over the years but he’s passion has always been in the cover band industry.

George started The George Trimmer Band back in 2015 and has played to packed houses all over Melbourne and still has a great passion for cover songs and entertaining all age groups from Corporate functions to hotels.
